3 or 4 axles ? need help plss

Post by flofox » Tue Jul 16, 2013 5:13 pm

hello

I am building a 6 axle rig for someone(6x6x6)
the size is gonna be 100cm (39,5 inch)
the one who pays wants this size, so this cannot change

now I(we) was thinking of adding an extra axle, so it will have 4 axles
three in the back and one in front
and I want all the wheels to steer

but will that ruin the driving/handling?
can i make it work ,or should i stay with 3 axles?

plss help me
look at the pics

If you go with 3 space the back out more. it would be a lot eazyer if ya went with 3 . what do you plan on using for your eletronics ie ESC ??

"Wow, What a ride!"

im gonna use 3 stock tamiya motors
cheap towerpro 996r servo (china)
cheap esc (china)

used them before, works fine

In PM's, it's helpfull if you change your font-size to "huge".

I don't think you'd be able to turn it in a gymnasium with 4 axles unless you had that rear "rockered" so at least one wasn't fully on the ground for turns.
