Alex's TX-WK2 build aka KINGS BOUNTY

If it uses driveshafts and straight axles, discuss it here.

Seeing Justins superb KK-2 build has given me the motivation I needed to get this truck finished. Plus he enjoys the competition!!!

WK battery tray is mounted which might not seem much of a deal but when you consider TXT-2 center gearbox is pretty much the entire length! of a WK chassis you get the picture.

P clips sure do come in handy

Battery is mounted as low as physically possible and yes I still have full suspension travel and no clearance issues :P

When truck is in use I will simply zip tie the battery to the tray which will keep it secure.

That looks clean! I really like the look of that chassis as an MT.

Finally bit the bullet and ordered Clod wheel axles/ brass wheel hubs/ Thundertech wideners (so I could get FOTD back together again) and CPE TXT-1 steering link kit. These four items were freaking expensive believe me.

Worth it though as Kings Bounty is a roller again :P really proud of this truck I just couldn't resist taking some more photos.

Looks great Alex. I reckon it would look awesome with the new ProLine Clod tyres!

I think because your chassis is a little smaller, the smaller Proline tyres would look good...... I would like to see those tyres on a WK, especially with a stretched WB.

Kings Bounty is finished! All that remains to do is get a body and the paintjob. Shane will be doing the paintjob of course :P

Ran the truck a few days ago and I have to say its the best handling truck I have ever owned! As you can imagine with a short wheelbase and four wheel steer it steers pretty keen.

Of all the trucks I have built to date this is my fave of the lot.

Steering is courtesy of Hitec HS 5645's and Kimbrough 124 servo savers plus Logic RC y lead servo reverser. Top steering links I made myself out of spares I have left over from previous builds.

Re fitted crawler king prop shafts and installed txt-2 body posts. Receiver/ esc attached to top of gearbox with double sided tape. Job done.

Have to say I really like the servo mounts I bought off ebay I love how compact and neat the servos sit on the axles.

Now the paintjob
