My Own GroundPounder

Post by CowboyClod » Mon May 06, 2013 2:59 am

Here's my own Ground Pounder. I've removed the stock motor and stock esc. The stock motor lighted up like a Christmas tree on the third attempt. The motor is still good but for some odd reason it was receiving too much current. I did the jar in water trick using only 1.5 volts but even that did not help. So I decided enough is enough I don't need a truck on fire and bought the brushless 9T Leopard Combo with program card. I will be running a 7.2 volt 2000 mah Nimh pack for now until I get use to the system in the Ground Pounder and then go to another pack with more mah later on. 7.4 volt is the limit for this system.

The mod 1 spur gear is now on. I will be using the Ofna 11 T pinion.

The tyres look a lot better than stock! Any side shots so I can see what they look like on the wheels?

i ran a 3s before but it was silly speed so i went back to the 2s (less carnage lol) truck looks great

No need to worry my friend  I'm not one for using Lipo. Being said that I'm only using Nimh 7.2 volt 2000 mah pack for now. I'm sticking to Nimh packs because those are the ones I'm comfortable with as I'm more familiar with them.
