Holy crap. That's some serious air! I didn't think a Clod could catch that much. What kind of gearing is it running?

Currently in that truck (USA-1) I am running 7 cell GP3300 batts, Team Paradigm 10x2 Reedy Ti based motors, and I beleive 12tooth pinions. I have it geared a little low for tight tracks, but I may go up 2 teeth for next week to see how it feels on the track.

Ahh, guess I over looked the fact that the truck is a USA-1.

I was referring to the body, not the chassis :)

It is a clod buster. That is our Berzerker Race chassis for the clod. On that particular truck I run a USA-1 body.

new photos

Post by team prp » Mon Jan 17, 2005 10:00 pm

I posted some new photos from last weeks race on the MMTR web site. They are in the "photos" section. http://www.teamprpracing.com/mmtr

There are a few photos of Mod clod racing, Box stock, and "pajero tire" tough truck. I'll try to get some TLT Tough truck racing photos this week.

Last weeks points have also been posted.

Thanks!
Benny

I won't be bringing my TLT this week, I need to braze a stiffer upper link bar in, the old one snapped finally :P

But I will have my RS4 with this week.

New case and gears, sounds great now 8)

I fixed a few of the possible causes to this as well. The broken case was probably caused from not having all the bolts in the case for so long.

The second thing had to do with the motor mounts from ebay. I do not recall reading anything in the instructions for them on needing a spacer for the long bolts inside the case. Well without spacers and the lexan shield I had put over my viewing box the motor was able to move around. And often times away from the spur gear.

I fixed this in the rear case with some tamiya shock bushings I had from the TLT. Once I find two more I will put them in the front gearbox as well.

ditch the motor mounts.. they are extra weight.. stock gearing is best all around for racing.

Maybe on most tracks stock gearing is OK but, we run such short / tight tracks we find a smaller pinion gear gives us better acceleration.

I agree on the motor mount issue you can do some very fine tuning with a set of adjustable mounts. The weight is not an issue. You could gain that just by running different kinds of widners or wheels or anything for that matter. This brings up a great question Ben what does a rtr berzerker weigh ? I have wondered this before Ben you always have an eight in right. Take it easy Ben. ERIC
