Post can a evx-2 run dual 12t motors?
Ive been looking around and these batteries i need and voltage this and amps that its making me crazy :x . I just want to know if i can run trinity 12t-13t motors and what batteries i need. My batteries in it right now look like there 20 years old! They barely hold a charge. I know that my motors right now are titan 550 21t. I found this out and i wander if i can run 10t 540 motors. http://www.traxxas.com/products/accesso ... s_evx2.htm

From what i know i can have dual 10t 540 motors whith two batteries that are 7.2v each.
Is this correct? Please Help :D

It might work. I would just check the esc's temp and see how it's doing.

I found these motors and they look like they might work. Are they good motors and would they be reliable?

Does anyone have dual 10t motors. I can only imagine how fast they are

i wouldnt run 10 turns at 14+ volts..youll burn them up pretty quickly..it,ll be blazingly fast for a very short time i would say..if you wanna run that kinda power best to skick with 550.s..keep in mind you dont have to run dual packs with the evx, 1 8 cell pack would be really fast

Yeah but 16.8 volts is even faster than 9.6 Duh. Looking for more is faster not smarter.

nothing wrong with stupid fast :D  but its gonna cost ya  ..i used to blow up a set of gears every weekend with my evx equiped zilla4 and trinity 550 17t monster maxx pro,s., and dual sanyo 2400 nicad,s., also used to go through brushes pretty quick at 14.4..was fun though fastest clod in the hood for sure 8) was ok as long as i could resist the urge to pull wheelies  ..i couldnt  i got to be an ace at clod gearcase surgery :D i think 2 12t titans would be pretty smokin on 14+..they would probably take the voltage better than 540,s but not the most reliable units..hit or miss with them but they are cheap
if your racing this truck keep in mind its about driving smooth and consistent..too much power will hurt you ..get good then get fast 8) ..and if its a basher go b@lls out buddy

So should i go for the titan 12t motors or the 10t. I just want to know what i need so i can fill out an order from tower. Also this is not a racer. I live in wisconsin and i dont think all be racing except when i pick alexs ground pounder out of my grill. so its a basher with wicked fast speed! BUT i want it to be RELIABLE!

 So heres what im thinking-10t 540 motors with ONE 10 cell battery- The motors are in my above post and here are the batteries i might get http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wt ... LXLFW8&P=7

What do you think? Will it work or has somebody found a better combination of fast but reliable.
You guys decide so give me some ideas!

Get 2 Castle sidewinder brushless systems, or Mamba max.(4600 or 5700)

Thats about the only reliable setup with lots of power, 10-12T motors will go through alot of brushes, won't last long, and won't even come close to having as much torque as brushless.

The fewer turns in a brushed motor the less torque it will have.

There are some good deals on brushless.

ya of all the mini buggys its by far the best.. with a few upgrades, i bought mine from a guy who built it just for speed runs its all cf ..very fast benn clocked at over 80kph with the stock tires before the fronts split in the middle from the pizza cutter effect and the rears half blew off, one of the fastest rc,s i,ve ever driven  would wheely at any speed..the bishop "wraith" 7000kv mtr is insane on 3s

Yea right    I'd like to know how you're going to be picking my ground pounder out of your grill well i'm still peeling you off the bottom of my tires!   What lipbr302 really wants to be able to do is beat my redcatracing ground pounder thats running a venom 17t double modified motor with duratrax 8.4v batteries, so if you guys could steer him in the right direction that woul be great because to be honest with you i'm getting bored of smoking him... 8)

Yeah right Alex! You couldnt run my clod over! Its like 2 times as big! I ordered 11t trinity speed gems and a parma hemi motor. I read on the back of the packaging on the motors and it says you should run it and not have it in any water. Is this right or does someone else have an idea on how to do this. It says you should add oil. I dont have any special rc motor oil. Do i need it or is that just a scam so i spend more money from trinity. Any other oil i can use?
