Post Got the Tmaxx out the other day and.......
well lets just say i was doing some doughnuts (turning right) had the right front hiked up in the air carrying it through the doughnut. Well I got a little too close to the curb and busted the servo, and even bent an integy aluminum bulkhead, bent 2 piggyback shock shafts, and 2 hinge pins. Oh and not to mention the integy aluminum bumper was busted into 4 pieces. man that stuff isnt as strong as i hoed it would be. Im just glad I got the truck in a trade and didnt spend the actual $$$ on it lol!

The integy stuff has been pretty dissapointing to a lot of people. The quality control doesn't seem as good as other companies.

Yeah, Im not impressed either. Unless you use a whole tube of loctite, the screws still seem to back out and loosen in key parts fo the truck. Which I understand everything needs tinkering and thats alot of the fun of it, but that was getting old. Luckily like I said before I only traded for the truck and I didnt spend the crazy $$$ for all that aluminum, plus the initial cost of the truck. Every piece on my T-maxx that can be aluminum, is aluminum lol.

I have integy shock towers on my mini-t and they are great except the screws that hold the body posts on snap off in the shock tower constantly. I have some gpm parts and they look like brand new after three years of solid abuse- never done any maintenance on it all. Some companies just seem to make parts to sell them rather then make parts to enhance performance.

Well another mishap today. Flipped the truck over somewhat violently. didnt expext it to do any damage. When i got to the truck, the whole rear body mount (which is integy aluminum) bent forward about 1/2 inch. I was like you gotta be kidding me. So theres another junk part.

I just did that last night  . I was whipping a dounout and the truck smashed into my moms garden beam and ripped the top of the 4 link out of the hole on the clodbuster axle. I also backed into a bensh and broke my tailgate. All in one night of bashing!

ahhh, isnt that what its all about..have fun- break it - fix it..repeat..it does suck when an upgrade part  doesnt quite cut it..at one time i was all about the bling but in alot of cases it just makes your rig heavy, unprediclable and in alot of case much looser handling due to sloppy tollerances in the aluminum stuff, plastic parts will usually spring back to orig shape if torqued or bent..plastic parts can be made to fit tighter as they generally have very little friction when touching eachother..ie i put aluminum arms on my revo and they were quite sloppy..basically have to be a bit sloppy or you get binding ..if your building a runner steer clear of all the alum..knuckle and such never hurt to be aluminum though, shocks too..a few choice bits
