Is there a way to get the dried model glue off of hard plastic model car bodies. I dont wanna ruin the body with chemicals (heck, most would probably melt the plastic as well)

Sandpaper. Thats what I use for my models when I get extra glue where I don't want it. Just have to wait till it's dried.

Yep, have to agree with offroadford4x4, best way is to wait until the glue is really dry and then carefully sand it off.

There is a glue zapper available that desolves the glue without any maring to the plastic(unless it is the clear/tinted window plastic and then chances are the piece needs to be replaced), the stuff is meant for disolving old glue on built up models to keep from destroying irreplaceable parts. It is actually a paste form of finger nail polish remover.
