Saw this on another forum, cool idea for making your scale model engine look like it's running:

http://www.ultimaterc.com/forums/showth ... 913&page=5

The build in the link is a rat-rod (although it's looking more like a street rod currently). The guy has a scale motor (two actually) and is attempting to run the accessory belts with electric motors from inside the engine for a realistic look.
I hope this inspires some of you to put something like this into one of your builds. :)

It's not WHAT toys you play with, but that you play with toys at all that is important.

It's cool, BUT its not a new thing. Guys use to do that all the time with the old Parma Hemi motors with the wiring/belt kit.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Back in my day, they use to get small cheap motors from RadioShack and wire them to the mechanical speed control. It would provide the little motor with variable throttle so the engine would turn faster as you have it more power.

That's before my time .
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming to the Lord,
"Wow, What a ride!"
