Repairing cracks in Lexan?

Has anybody found a good way to fix cracks in lexan bodies? I have one that has cracked from the bodymount clear down through the fender opening. (Kaboom! :roll: )
No space for shelf queens.....use it or loose it!

I have read that using drywall tape and Shoe Goo does the trick.
