 Scale stuff
Does anyone know where I could track down a set of correct Silverado side view mirrors for a Clod body? I've seen them on some of the builds on this site and they look fab.

 Re: Scale stuff
Other than making them yourself, about the best you can hope for is to find a toy from which you can transplant them. The hard part is that static modeling, RC, and toys are all different scales, so the quest will be a tough one.

 Re: Scale stuff
There are a few topics on scale gear down in the Tech and Info Forum. That link may be down there.

check out clodzone.com or rcmt.net- there is a guy named Jeffro- that does some really cool things with the clod bodies and I believe I have seen some side mirrors. here's a link for a cool 4door bowtie http://clodzone.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=73

Thank you gentlemen. I will see about asking Jeffro how he did it.

 Re: Scale stuff
Actually, I found out what was used. Those are side mirrors from the HILUX Toyota. D Parts tree. Then you just get some 1/8 rod and bend it and then cut to size to connect the mirror to the base. Otherwise you're spending thirty something bucks on the metal parts bag just for the rod. I found a thread that talked about this very thing. I already placed an order at Tower. Can't wait to get 'em. Cheers. http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.p ... t-id=58397
