If they do....they do......
But I had to get the water out of them somehow.

I agonozed over glueing these at all, thinking about "what if I decide to sell them" and all that.......
But I got em' to use em' not sell them or have them look pretty on the shelf.

On a different note......those RC4WD mini wideners I got work great!
No mushrooming on the barrel nuts, and they stayed tight too. (without thread locker)

Well, if it makes you feel any better, we got the merest fraction of what we had last year.
It's actually been a very disapointing winter for snowfall.

Just a last blast so-to-speak.
I had set it up like this for it's last run (with me as it's owner). The V-spikes worked really well and I like this look better too. The problem was that I kept breaking and bending the front link studs jumping it with all the VXL power on 3S lipo.......
That heavy front servo mount probably didn't do me any favors either.

The clodzilla now belongs to Rcmaniac78........Ironically I got it from him as a basket-case.
I think this was his plan all along......he's a crafty one I tell ya'.......
The sway-bars are gone and the white linear springs are back in plack, but still with the link-mounts, not the axle-mounts. The jugg tires and narrowed wheels are still in place as well. It's also gone back to titan power. The motors are ironically, the one's that came out of it when it went brushless, and irony of all ironies......the EVX-2 that it got is the very same one that powered my super clod for what seemed like forever......which also came from Rcmaniac78 when he went brushless with his e-revo.

Just got done reading this thread

Andy, were there any disadvatages running the 2 Lipo batteries vs the 2 Nimh?

I just picked up an EVX-2 w/LVD and plan to get some Titan 550 (21T) motors.

I am just not sure what route to take on the batteries.

Only if you consider less weight, more punch, and longer more consistant run times disadvantages.

I would not hesitate in your case at all. Lipo all the way!
If you look at some of the vids you can really tell the differance.

I too went from the 21T titan motor which I only used for 3 weeks before I went for to dual VXL 3500 system. The 21T was good, better than my old matched madness motors. I also bought an 7 cell Nimh which was ok, but nothing compared to my 3s Lipo. I used the lipo instead of nimh batteries and then I went to brushless :)...LIPO is moe better and moe expensiver lol.

Great.. What do I need to consider when it comes to mah? I know need to stay under 16 .8V with the EVX2..

So was thinking 2S lipo x 2 to get me to 14.4V. I also remeber reading somewhere that a fully charged 2S lipo is really closer to 8.4V than 7.2V

5000 Mah and I wouldnt go under 40c for a lipo and yes lipos charge up to 8.4v so you will be at your 16.8v . I buy all my lipos from http://www.Hobbypartz.com

I run a EVX-2 and have run the 12t's and the 550 titans on 2 20c 7.2 volt lipos and its smooth sailing with great run times. I buy my lipos from Hobbyking.com and run the Zippy lipos and have had no issue on all six that I have purchased from them. Also they are only $16 or so. For the performance I get from them you can't beat the price.

Lipo's used in this thread are 4000mah 25C.
Nothing wrong with more mah or higher C-rating, but not nesessary for brushed motor use.
For that matter these same lipo's were used to power my dual brushless 6900kv powered mod-clod.

I noticed that the Titan 550's (21t) motors are rated at 14.4V

So I do need to make sure I do NOT to "fully charge" a 2S 5000 mah lipo? Just worried about burning out the motors prematurely..

Ignor the 14.4v thing, those motors are good for 16.8v.
The old e-maxx with the old EVX speed control was rated for 14.4v....they just never changed the label on the motors.

I actually hooked a set of these motors up to 6S lipo with a mamba max pro.
That's 25v.... They lasted for a few runs.....

ah the clodzilla 2 brings back many fustrating memories. I broke more axle tubes and rod ends then I could even count. I sold the one I had then bought it back from the same guy like 3 years later only to build it again then sell it again lol. I'm considering aluminum for the axle tubes but not sure. looking at either hot racing or integy but I had integy ones before and was not impressed to say the least. maybe try the hot racing ones. but not right away I'll go stock first and see what happens.

on kinda a side note. do you prefer the newera type servo mount or the vertical mount? I keep tossing back and forth sense I'm looking at a lot or trail riding I was thinking the new era mount with the mostly stock settup would work out pretty good . but not sure about clearance with the stock chassis either. any thoughts?

Despite my HATE of integy.... everyone else on this site that I have seen post about their axle tubes...was happy with them.

I wish I had kept this CZ2 and done the lower link relocation mod.
I would also have switched to a vertical servo mount.

That servo mount looks pretty, but it got hung-up easily and was heavy. I suspect it contributed to many of the parts failures I had in the front-end of this truck.
