Yeah i want the front end narrorwed like that it will fit my chassis well. While waiting for parts i soldered kind of a bumper on the rear of the chassis that i will put my fake winch on ( Real one in the front  ) Im going to hang the hook on that loop and a set of fake balls

i read on "another forum" that the aluminum cab is no thicker than a beer can. apparently a dirty look can crumble it.

Yeah i know but its going a tube chassis and if that is not strong enough i will find a way to strengthen it.

They made them thin to replicate body damage when it scrapes against rocks etc

Sorry for not updating this for a while ive been busy working on this project. Well so far ive built the axles, tranny, and ive built a bumper and winch mount for the chassis. I also found a way to mount the tranny. My body came and it was a little on the flimbsy side. I supported it a lot and now its very sturdy. I could go on and on but ill let the pics do the talking.

I got the grille done today. It was a little tricky. I used the dremal trick to get the 4x4x4 off the grille then i had to take a little off eack side of the grille and glue it back together so it would fit in the narrorwed front end. Turned out good I think.

The grill looks good. I can't really tell from your pictures but did you paint your body black?

I think it looks ok. If you were to do it again though I would make your cuts close to the light buckets on each side so you don't have the cut line in the middle. It would not be so prominent. Just a thought...

Im kind of stuck right now. I was planning on using the links that came with the venom kit but the top ones were to short so i ordered some from rc4wd and two tow shackles. I ordered some bungee straps, chain, propane tank, beer tank, seats, and a fake nitrous tanks. I cant wate till my parts come. Heres my parts list right now.

Venom kit (Axles, tranny, and rims)
Winch
Scale dash guages and steering wheel
Warn winch stickers and parma stickers
Imex swamp dawg tires 2.2
Pro line scale kit
Aluminum body clodbuster truggy style
45t motor
rc4wd esc
waterproof reciever container
Hobby gear scale kit
Plastic dimond plates (scale)
3 channel airtronics 2.4ghz remote and reciever
Roof mounted lights
4 head lights two tail lights
Red scale shock boots
Hr 110mm shocks
Two rc4wd shackles
upper links from rc4wd

I know i forgot stuff but thats overall what i have. I have rocks, cement chunks, rivers, mud right back in the woods and im going to have a blast.

Well its been a while but thats because ive been collecting parts and waiting for things. So far I got the rear axle on using rc4wd.com links but right now im waiting for the front links which will be a little shorter than the front.
I built some bungee straps using hairband, glue, and a paper clip. I built some tow straps using a shoeplace with heat shrink wrap around the end then over the overlaping joints wich i sewed together. I also got some tow shackles for them wich i love. I just ordered some more :P They look good i think :D

I got the frame painted and got the tranny mounted with my candy cane painted driveshafts.

I maid the roll bar padding using some foam sheets i found at my local craft store for $0.35 its used for craft books. I then cut it to size then tied some jewerly wire around it.

Im working on the flat bed on it. Its not going to be that sheet metal i have diamond plate plastic that i got to go on top of that. For the hooking points on the flatbed im using eyelet hook with a washer underneath that.

Well here are some pics!

All I can say is WOW! This is going to be epic! I love the realism of the crawlers. That red frame is so cherry. (pun intended)
