Obstacles a la Monster Jam Scale 1:10

Post by swarmi » Sun Jun 30, 2013 12:25 pm

Hope its the right forum?!

The last winter i have build some obstacles for my clod. 2 buses and a cargo container. I build all this of cardboard, confection packing and cellotape. The buses are nearly 37 inch long, the cargo container nearly 25 inch. So real 1:10 scale i think.

Are you build yourself similar obstacles too? Please post your pictures in this thread. I need some inspiration.

Man I wish I could find a bus like that for a build I have in mind. They look great as does the cargo container.  =D>
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming to the Lord,
"Wow, What a ride!"

Very nice work! =D>

Do you have any assembly pictures?
Can you describe in more detail how you went about making these?

Thanks!

No i dont have any assembly pictures, sorry.

I started with a normal cardboard box. The front of the buses are build with packaging of "Ferrero Rocher". You can see the 3 packaging for each bus. I glued all together with hot glue. Its easy and be fast. The windows i've got cutting out with a knife. At last i've got all pasted with cellotape therewith the surface is smooth.

Maybe it would be cool to build a front of a boing 727 in 1:10. 8) To copy the bigfoot record jump. ;-)

Anyone other ideas?!
