There's a thing in the menu for that....you have to set the multi-function knob for it...and then dial it down with that.

I personally have never dialed back my throttle.... I set the knob to dial back the initial braking force/sensitivity. Doing that and setting the knob at about halfway gets rid of that nasty "ka-thunk!" when you hit the brakes. it also lessens your power in reverse, but the nice thing there is.... if you get stuck and need full throttle reverse.... you can just dial the power back up.

I see I tried about 4 times to set it to the throttle but it wouldn't do it... seems I'm likely miss counting the blinks

Throttle sensitivity:

press/hold menu (till it blinks, then release)
press set (blinks once)
press menu once (2 blinks should happen)
press set (will blink 8 times after you do this)
press/hold menu till the light goes solid, then release
Now the multi-function knob controls throttle sensitivity, you can now use it to dial things up/down.

*******************************************************

Braking % (sensitivity) (what I recommend)

press/hold menu (till it blinks, then release)
press set (blinks once)
press menu 3x (4 blinks should happen)
press set (should blink 8 times)
press/hold menu till the light goes solid, then release
Now the multi-function knob controls braking % (sensitivity), you can now use it to dial things up/down.

***********************************************************

It's worth noting that when you finish.... it's the 8 flashes that let you know you've done something, and then holding the menu button to return to driving mode that finalises it. If you mess up at any point.... just turn it off and back on again....and re-start the programming process.

Seriously thank you! that is what I was looking for! the traxxas directions for it are rather confusing! and say nothing about the 8 blinks so it kept saving to default (steering) I bet!

Could be.... they are not as easy as I'd like them to be, but once you get the hang of it....it becomes rather easy.

I personally like to start by resetting everything to the defaults and starting fresh.
There's a procedure for that in the download posted above, don't take it for granted that every single thing has defaulted.

.....and you welcome.
