I seem to start most threads with 'this is probably a dumb question.................'!
I picked up a Tamiya Midnight Pumpkin Quick Drive cheap today. It didn't have a transmitter, but I had an old one, so I matched the crystals. It works, but the channels are reversed, ie, what should be forward and reverse is the steering and vice versa. Is there a way to swap them around?

Just switch the plugs in the RX. Then steering will be steering and forward and reverse will work on the trigger.

Yeh, I would have tried that, but being the Quick Drive it has a toy type electronics setup that has a circuit board that is a receiver and esc in one - there are no plugs to switch.

Oh, I see what you mean now. You might have ot try and find the radio that was supposed to be mated with those electronics or strip it of the ESC/RX combo and use somehting else.Sixtys Guy wrote:Yeh, I would have tried that, but being the Quick Drive it has a toy type electronics setup that has a circuit board that is a receiver and esc in one - there are no plugs to switch.

I was hoping there would be a switch to flick or a plug to swap. I'll pull the transmitter apart to see if there is anything in there.

Sorted! Switched the potentiometers on each of the sticks, bit of an adjustment with a screw driver and I now have an operational Midnight Pumpkin QD. My son will be stoked when he wakes in the morning!
