Need budget friendly tx and rx

Post by wahrsuul » Thu Jun 07, 2018 12:07 pm

Ok, I've got the cars cleaned up and ready to go. Finally picked up a couple batteries and a new charger. Now it seems my old radios don't want to work. So, I need some budget friendly radios and receivers. I don't need anything more than simple 2 channel for the kids to play with. A stick style radio would be nice as the pistol style might be a bit too big for small hands.

Flysky seems to be fairly inexpensive, but are they worth it? There's some on Amazon fs-gt2e) that come with a receiver, but I'd want a couple extra receivers, and I don't know that they'd work with the transmitter. Most of the cars don't have an ESC if that makes a difference. The servos are usually old Futabas.

Some people like the flysky, if the price is right it may be worth it for you (I've not tried them).

I've been using traxxas radio's a lot over the years but lately I've started using the tactic brand that comes with axial RTR crawlers.
I can usually find used ones for 30-ish (new I think is 50, but don't quote me on that).
They are pretty dirt simple and work reliably. I use the 3-channel one as I like shape better, the 2-channel is a bit cheaper.
