Question about lipo batteries

Post by clod_happy » Tue Aug 04, 2015 3:02 pm

Good Day all, I recently purchased a 2s lipo for my clod and decided to move up to 3s. After reading many posts here, I see that someone suggested the value hobby site for batteries. I am looking on their site but am not sure what battery type to get. I see car lipo's and Elite series. Could I use either one? I'm not looking for a high mAh rating either, something in the 2000mAh range.
I am running a CPE Terminator chassis and have battery cups installed to hold the battery.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank You.

I usually search hobbyking for a battery I like then look for It on ebay. I was looking last night and there are turnigy 3s 5000 mah lipos on ebay for around $30 with free shipping from Ohio so no waiting weeks for them to come from Hong Kong. Ive used them in the past and liked them.

Edit: okay they are $34.http://m.ebay.com/itm/New-Turnigy-5000m ... nav=SEARCH

For what it's worth, I absolutely love my SMC Racing 3S lipo. $35 and took 3 days to get here.

I know this is an old thread, but have to give this a big X2. Started using SPC 2S/3S/4S about a year ago and they are hands down the best value for money. High disharge ratings and tons of punch for a great price.
