Radio Shack 4x4 old school!

Post by SFC K » Thu Oct 02, 2014 9:45 pm

Found a pair of these old school 4x4 RC trucks made by Radio Shack on craigslist today. I am getting the Blue one and the yellow one. I'm super happy as they appear to be like new.

I'm going to convert one to a custom MT using losi mini crawler axles or similar with custom chassis. I have been looking for one of these for years and found two!

Nice Jeff!! I had the blue one. Wish I still had that thing. It was a blast and fairly high tech for what it was. 8)

I just picked them up this afternoon. They looked better in the pictures but are still in really good shape. I will post pictures soon enough.

Picture time... :)

Wheel base is 7 3/4 long. They are neat little trucks. I already started taking apart the yellow one.

Some neat videos of the yellow one in action. It actually does really well on all kinds of terrain. 8)

Lipo packs will fit right in the bottom battery compartment. I plan on making one run but with better electronics and run lipo. I'm looking for a better motor to give it some kick. Current motor is a bit on the small side.
