Monster Tank Project

Post by taz11 » Mon Jan 06, 2014 3:14 am

I pulled this one from the attic. Its another teenage project leftover from the 80's. I've started collecting parts for some sort of redo.

Here's what I'm staring with.......

Your going to get a new body right [-o<
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming to the Lord,
"Wow, What a ride!"

I was looking at all the cool bodies that where posted over the weekend. Definitely want one....but unfortunately I may be too much of a cheap arse to own one.......unless I have a moment of weakness while I have extra cash...... :?

This project is slightly limited by that cheap arse thing..... nothing about tanks is cheap :(

I cant believe what these sell for these days    . I think I paid $200 and change for this brand new in the box from Tower back in the day.

Cool... Is there a build thread on that somewhere?

Curious what it's using for power/motor/etc....

Awesome! Thanks for the tech info. If I remember correctly (20 years ago) I was running it on 14.4 with the stock silver can. I can't remember how fast it was....

Tanks are the shiz net. Trying to bring them back to the racing seen, I have talk to Jamie which he is running the Retro class for the NRCTPA springs and worlds and he said we could run the tanks with the retro's  So any body that has tanks or thinking of running tanks and go to any of those 2 events bring them out,
Also the Super Pull coming up in Feb If 3 or more tanks so up they will let us run. I am bringing 2 if not 3 with me
