Yes didn't last very long at all around twelve months ago Tamiya discontinued it in pretty much every country you can think of.

If they included ESC ditched brass bushings and provided txt-1 wheels & tires am pretty sure it would still be selling reasonably well...

Yeh, its seems a little buts, considering the low cost of bearings and the fact that every other brand includes them (apart from a few no name chinese modes). Also they wheels and tyres were a bizarre choice. I still rate it very highly as a truck though, I love mine (not the body though lol!)

Had to drill out the X member mounting holes in the chassis plates slightly larger to accept CPE mounting screws for 102mm X members. Full metal shielded bearings will be installed throughout.

I still think TXT transmission is one of the coolest things in monster truck rc!

That looks really good! Those TXT transmissions remind me of the ones in you find in the HPI E-Savage Sport, the early ones with dual motors.

Stock TXT-2 lower links with some badass M4 rod ends I bought off ebay. Not cheap cost me 14 dollars for four rod ends which are designed to fit 1:1 race cars! Quality is excellent and a nice solution with having M4 mounting holes.

Guys Mike Hesse is currently in the process of making me some TXT mounting blocks I am reluctant to use Xtreme Racing servo mounts so I did some googling and came across these servo mounts made by Mike himself.

Anyone have any experience with these servo mounts?

I enquired about these servo mounts with Mike as I did not know he made servo mounts as well he is looking into it for me.

I saw your post on Mr. Hesse not communicating with currently. I can try and get a hold of him if you want. He is local here in the Twin Cities.

Few goodies which arrived weeks & weeks ago still waiting for mounting blocks to arrive has put this build two months behind FFS! Currently in customs/ bank holiday hell.

Bought these eight Chinese knock off scale shocks off Ebay for 26.62 dollars. Likewise RC4WD scale shocks would have cost me 120 dollars for eight shocks.

Must be a reason why they are so cheap? Some of the parts look identical to RC4WD parts? Saved a fortune that I do know.

Still I recommend M Hesse as his products are top notch however make sure you order well in advance! Waiting for solid links now off RC4WD so I can get this truck a roller.

If I can still upload photos off my hard drive I will be happy with the update...

Roller status! Shocks are upside down which I think is best for a retro build? Since I started this hobby in 2008 I have to say this is the creation I am most proud of. Not an easy build. Hope you guys like it :)
