just an update:

with no help from the support people over at Rc4wd i managed to get the diff working decent enough to keep together and see how it runs. it took alot of head scratching and measuring different thickness o-rings and shims i had available and coming up with a combo that seemed to suffice. the end caps on the axle seemed a little tight but managed to get them on and i forsee them loosening up after everything wears in. filled it with my special lubrificant and it seems to be working great so far inside the not so sealed diff cup.

The build is coming along great!
The upper shock mounts are interesting but seem to be a very strong setup. Any particular reason you swapped out the G-mades for King shocks? I like that you went with the Freestyle trans. I've been tossing around the idea of getting one for my KK2 but have had good luck so far with an all alluminum steel geared SCX10 trans. Let us know how you like it. :)

Thanks bub! only reason i swapped for the kings is because they are a bit longer and made it to where i could get the upper mount off of the lowest setting for height. it most certainly needs a sway bar setup. its very well built and uses steel/aluminum gears inside right from Josh. i'm tossing the idea of what form of lubricant i want to run in it... i'm ready for some electronics next and hung up on what castle product i should get and kv motor size... think ive found the savox servo i'm gonna try.

I'm starting to think that I need to make my next project, after my SCX10, a tube frame truck. Your trucks looks fantastic! What is your wheelbase? It looks perfectly proportioned.
