Dubbl-A's Wraith

Post by dubbl-a » Sun Jul 06, 2014 4:17 am

Built a Wraith kit a few months ago. (My first shafty :thumbsup: )
A co-worker and I decided one day we both were going to get Wraith kits as something different from our Clods.
Here's a few shots from a cool crawling spot.

Then I got tired of crawling.
It was a lot of fun but I just don't have that many good crawling spots around my house so I decided to turn it into a MONSTER. So after seeing what others have done, I was inspired to transform my Wraith into a beast. Here's where I'm at so far...

Thanks for all the comments everyone!
After having the Clod wheels and tires on for a while now I'm not sure if I can go back to stock. 8) I put diff gears in the front (so I can actually turn) and even with the brushless setup its very stable and a blast to drive. This things a beast... The only thing I broke so far was an endlink (twice) and my rear drive shaft is starting to twist even with the "aluminum link inside the male" mod. I really don't want to have to buy some steel shafts but that may be the only option. :(

Opps, looks like I missed the photo of the month, maybe next time.

TXT-2.0 - A++++ on your Wraith!

Full clearance at last.
After rotating the axial servo mount 180 degrees, the servo saver now clears the chassis and sway bar. It's a tight fit but everything moves smoothly.
I'll see how it holds up after a good thrashing. :twisted:

Broke a CPE Clod wheel adapter 4 minutes into running due to my persistent boxer (dog) clamping down on the rear wheel just as I gave it juice. Since my rear still has the locker in place, all that brushless power didn't channel to the other wheel and SNAP went the plastic (printed) adapter. :x I was really upset. So I tossed the stock tires on and things got silly.

Castle Power!

On a side note, I have nothing but good things to say about Brett at CPE. I shot him a quick email about my broken adapter and instead of having to purchase an entire set to replace the broken one he sold me a single unit, no problem. Awesome. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: =D> Keep up the good work CPE.
