those are really nice looking. Must have put some time in to get them looking so good.

Maybe one of those for me in the future. I like the lights, sure does help with the scale look.

vwjuice wrote:The Axial trucks do look good and I know parts are in stock at most lhs's whereas Tamiya isn't stocked anywhere. It's a toss up, the Hilux is more detailed like I want, but costs a lot more. The Axial is cheaper and parts support is easier to get.
i love the tamiys but the scx10 is solid for sure and will easily outperform a hilux..one of my faves is my rusty hilux but its heavier than the scx and has less articulation, steering setup is not ideal and the big one is the ground clearance issue with the tranny..alot of modding to get it working right but for sure the leafsprung deal is cool and scale but the scx is a winner out of the box..just throw a hilux body on it...theres even leaf spring kits out there for it..best yet have one of each(clear winner) 8)
sorry to jump in on your thread i just thought id give my 2c on the comparison
nice rigs sfc k the scale/trail thing is cool :D

Well, I finally got some newer photo's of the Honcho out on some rocks up on the North shore from last month.

I must say this truck is unstoppable and a lot of fun to run around...

Enjoy...

Bonus question:

Can anyone tell me what is new on this Honcho in these pictures?

Good luck!

The dirt. Because this is the first time its been in the dirt. maybe the last
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming to the Lord,
"Wow, What a ride!"

Rear spring buckets. You either got metal ones, or painted yours silver.

I liked Charlie's answer better, and I LOL'ed quite loudly when I read it.

Man, you guy's are something else... I think this truck has seen more dirt than CC's whole fleet!

But yes Andy, you did guess right on the shock hoops by Vanquish, but those have been on the truck for a while. I thought those were noted on the first page... It's something else...
