Looking for 17mm hex 2.6 wheels

Post by 87lc2 » Sat Feb 03, 2018 1:56 pm

Do 17mm hex 2.6" wheels exist? Looking to replace the stock wheels on my Mad force VE so I can run Clod tires and I haven't come across anything. I'd rather not run adapters and Clod wheels as they re not strong enough for 4-6S.

If anyone knows of anything that will work I'd appreciate it.

The ofna "monster pirate" used 17mm wheels, and it's possible to stretch clod tires over them (they are a little bigger than 2.6").

Found these on ebay, but it's only 2, but it gives you an idea of the offset used on them.

Looks like they are hard to find these days, but look all the way down on this page.... bottom left... those are the wheels I was thinking of, and there's a part # listed, so maybe you can hunt a set down.

Thanks Andy, I forgot about those. Looks like they're hard to find these days. Hopefully I can hunt down a set somewhere.

Would be great if Proline would just offer 14mm and 17mm in the brawlers, and make the backside a bit larger diameter to clear knickles on the big MT's like MAXX's and Savages...like these, but plastic and cheaper https://www.ebay.com/itm/Traxxas-TMaxx- ... SwACZZzcfJ  :)

Either Proline or JConcepts, that would be nice. I did see those on Ebay and they look awesome, but dont really want to spend that kind of money on wheels as I dont run the Mad Force often enough to justify it.

If you dont mind stretching your clod tires a bit, imex wheels fit great in both 14 and 17mm hub size

The smaller tires like Brawlers and Rumblers stretched end up about the size of stock clod tires and the rims are very tuff.

Although I found the less scale but really cool mud slingers stretch and still look the best on the imex rims

That should work well. Where can I buy just the wheels? I've seen a few places that sell the Imex tires and wheels, but only need the wheels.

Last time i checked they still had a few of the 17mm sayville style in white on there web site.

I think they are not as good at stocking stuff as they used to be, maybe going out of business ?

The more monster truck looking dimoned rims are out of stock for a while now, its best to call them at Phone 352.754.8522
