SFC K's HPI RS4 Pro 2

Post by SFC K » Sun Mar 06, 2016 3:51 am

Picked this from Incredible_Serious over on RC10talk.com. It did not come with a body, so I painted this up today. I was going for the Nascar truck theme without all the stickers. It was really hard to get the right lighting as the paint changes from green, to teal, to purple.

Hope you like. :D

Thanks Justin! I have a few places I can run them. Mostly drift action for me though. I am working on my Sprint 2 as well. Adding counter steering for better drifts.

Very nice Jeff! I'm a fan of truck bodies on road cars.

Thanks guys! I like it too. It is the second one I have owned, body wise. The first came with my RS4 RTR-3 Nitro. I still have the car but the body has been long gone now. Had to have another one.

Thanks! I'm not sure if this one will drift with the current wheel/tire set-up, but I could make some more drift tires out of PVC pipe.

I will check that out. I thought I had heard it was the other way around. I will check the material I have left from the last ones I made. I thought it was PVC....

I just missed out on one of these chassis on eBay, The North American beaver has a big tail you Jeff for posting this thread

Actually I'm rather thankful I did miss out - I think I'd have been in equiv of $120 by the time i'd sorted it out with that body, some wheels and a suitable ESC !

Had some fun drifting at the office yesterday with a friend on the armory drill floor. We had a great time and I got some video's with my GoPro camera as well. I still need to tinker with the editing software though before they are ready to post.

I also painted up another body with what paint I had left from the Spaz Stix cans. I did not go to heavy with green, to teal, to purple paint but the effect is still the same but less noticeable. I think it turned out pretty sweet. I just need to finish the stickers and cutting and trimming the body.

Overall, great weekend for drifting.

Here is the Pro 2 next to my Sprint 2 chassis. Very similar in layout and both drifted very well.
