Nice work Andy! I totally missed the trophy picture! Way cool! That was back in June too. #-o

Had a good day at the track today.
Stock slash class has died out and has been replaced by stock/17.5 class.
...... brushed 12T's are allowed in the brushless 17.5 class....
Snagged my 1st win there today....... got 3rd in open mod as well.... with the same truck.... :)

Also did a few tweeks to my power output...... the 12T remains, but the XL-5 has been replaced with a VXL esc, and I'm running 12g wires and gold connectors. That gave a nice little... but noticeable bump in power.

Oh loving the 17.5/stock class!
Won again last week.... and this week too!

Raced in both 17.5/stock and open/mod with the slash. Really an outstanding day, as I won all my qualifiers and got TQ in both classes. Some of that in open was due to the best truck keep breaking. He got it together for the A-main and I ended up with 2nd in open/mod. In stock I was trying to see how bad I could mess up I think.... as I had a few crashes I normally would not have, but I managed to get it going again.

We are getting usually warm weather that is bringing the frost out of the clay, making for wet spots and a bumpy track, which of course plays to my truck's strengths.

Some pics showing what I did to get a little extra out of my 12T motor. Not everyday you see a VXL esc hooked up to one.
Works great and those heavier wires and better connectors make a difference.

Hot bodies BEAMS from HPI in super-soft compound are the best tires I have ever used.

Shoo goo and drywall tape..... this body would have died a long time ago if not for this..... :explosion:

I've gotten some black wheels for the back on another set of BEAMS and lost the orange rings, but otherwise, this is what the slash currently looks like.

So I ended the season with 5 wins in stock and took the championship for that class. Also scored 3rd in points in open/mod.
One truck.... 2 trophy's...
