Just got this Associated ProSC 4x4. It has a 3500kv brushless motor and I got a Duratrax Onyx 235 charger and a couple 4000mah 3S LiPo batteries. I've only ran it once with the included 7 cell NiMH. Can't wait to charge up the LiPos and see what it's got.

Nice looking AE SCT! When did they switch that over to shaft drive? I thought those were belt drive.

Thanks. I believe the SC10 4x4 was belt drive. This is basically a ProLite with a few upgrades. It just came out around Christmas. I went back and forth between the AE and a Traxxas Slash 4x4. The things that sold me on the AE were the lower center of gravity and the steel CVDs and dogbones. I've never been a fan of Traxxas's plastic drive axles.

Ah, that is right. I have never been a fan either of Traxxas. I think you made the right choice for sure. Do you plan on racing it?

I just plan on bashing it. My neighbor has a nice track in his yard so I'll be spending a lot of time over there when the weather warms up. He's responsible for twisting my arm and convincing me to get back into the hobby/addiction.

I ran the truck yesterday on 3S Lipo. It's definitely a handful on 3S. A rolling start and a full throttle stab stands it up on the back bumper. I'm guessing it's around 50mph flat out. I've been looking at new tires since the stock tires don't stand a chance of surviving long.
