HPI Sprint 2 Flux- Bandit 1

Post by SFC K » Tue Nov 10, 2009 4:18 am

I know it's not a truck, so I'm sure I'm going to get ridiculed for this but here we go...I could not resist...

I found this body for my HPI Sprint 2 Flux and just had to have it. Everyone likes The Smokey and the Bandit, Right….

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming to the Lord,
"Wow, What a ride!"

I want the lo-down on the tires and rims- they might be a good fit for my low-go midnight pumpkin?!

These are the wheels. I used 9mm offset on the rears and 6mm on the fronts.

The tires are also HPI...

They do look nice...I would like to get some gold centered rims for this...but have not found ones I like with the deep offset.

I stumbled on it here. They are actually here in MN so I just ran to the store and bought in house...

I should mention that I had a friend of mine at http://www.groundpoundersrc.com/index.p ... 221.0.html made me the masks for the hood and the "b" pillars. I wanted to spray them from underneath then apply stickers to the outside.

This is his site if anyone is interested in Paint masks. He does an awesmoe job!

That is freakin sweet. You never get knocked for any car on here unless it's a traxxas. Someone here is a little sensitive.

I just found out that I made it in the April issue of RCCA "Readers Rides" section. They picked my Sprint as the Readers ride of the month! I am still in shock.

Thanks! Yeah it fits really well. You do need to get deep offset wheels to get the look right.
