Hop Up suggestions for Mini Inferno?

Post by TomT » Thu Jun 01, 2006 11:46 am

Took mine out for the first "real" run today.

Cons:
1. Slow
2. Steering kinda (really) sucks
3. Yep, needs oil shocks
4. Slipper clutch sucks

Pros:
1. Slow but still fun
2. Run time
3. Looks minus the fake nitro stuff
4. Like the tires
5. Potential

What are the best bang for the buck hop ups? I know bearings first but then what?

Oh yeah, one of my inboard drive cups was not molded right or is not seating properly, does anyone make Aluminum or Titainium ones?

I haqve the same problem. I did several upgrades and now, I need advice too.

Hop-ups:
3Racing oil shocks
3Racing bulkheads
3Racing Steering blocks
Bearings
7-cell pack
Mamba

The biggest problem I found was the stock steering blocks. They are only held on with 2 screws, and if you hit stuff, they strip out. The aftermarket stuff helped a bunch. The shocks were the single best upgrade.
I also cranked down on the slipper to get more power.

For your drivecups, ebay has some nice ball-diffs. If you gotta replace it, why not upgrade, huh? :-P

Any one know of a good chassis upgrade that gets rid of the dumb tranny and is simple, direct shaft drive like 1/10 touring cars?
You do not talk about Fight Club.......
