Sweet! I've always been a big fan of the 2wd stampede, and they do great offroad with some tires on them. Im sure the 4x4 is even better since it doesn't have all the weight in the back, and you have the 2 front wheels digging too  Let us know how you like it

Here is a picture of my 2wd playing on the hill that my clodbuster will be trying out when its dry enough

That's a nice play area you got there!

I've had a lot of slash 4x4'x that I've modded up, but this is my first pede 4x4, I'm hoping it does well.

Im sure the stampede should be about identical other than the shorter chassis. I really like the looks of the 4x4 Slash Monster Truck conversions I see people doing. Wouldn't mind one of those myself.

I wish that dirt hill was mine. They are building a church close by and for the time being, it makes for a good place to run. Honestly, It amazes me how well that little 2wd stampede climbs. It takes technique no doubt, because it likes to pack the front wheels and not have much steering, but even with the stock tires and all, it really climbs good. Me and my father in law actually went and ran for a little bit today. Didn't realize how muddy it was until it was too late. Both my stampede and his E-Savage were covered in mud when we got done

Got to drive this quite a bit during practice yesterday, even with the stock talon tires it went around the track very well.
..... Once I got used to running a 4x4 and keeping the nose up that is.... #-o

Glad you are liking it! Ive got a set of pretty aggressive old Ofna 2.2 tires (off of an Ofna Pirate 10 if anyone remembers those) for my stampede, but I don't even bother with them most of the time because its got a lot of pep even on 2s in the little 2wd, and the talons allowing for a little more spin actually seems to make the truck more controllable and much easier to keep the front end down when climbing.

How much different does the 4wd feel from a 2wd? Im assuming its quite a bit more controllable and the front stays down much easier?

I've had a few 2WD stampede's, I actually started my racing with one. The 4x4 pede' is a completely different animal. You can make it wheelie, but it's not a wheelie-machine that all light in the nose like the 2WD pede' is.

Andy. believe me. The 4x4 Pede is a wheelie machine. Are you running 3s on stock VXL system. Mine did wheelies all day long. I also have two, 2wd Pede's so I know the difference. I put a Tenshock SC401 3800 KV motor with a Hobbywing sw8 120a ESC in my 4wd Pede. This truck is now a whole new beast. Geared low for temps. It tops out at 50mph. Will pull wheelies at 3/4 throttle. Mine will spin the tires (proline mashers) on pavement for a foot or two while pullling the front end up to the sky.

I love this truck!

Nice!

I'm not running on grass tho, and I don't have good tires yet.
Out in the snow the talons are worthless. On the clay track here they are .... drive-able.....

Oh an I'm only running 2S.... an the batts are old.

I have not really decided what direction I'm going to take wit this. Part of me wants to keep in an M/T, part of me wants to do some of the shape-shifter conversions that TheJANG did on URC.

Nah, took it out in the snow today and the stock tires really blow....... needs paddles, or maybe mashers like ramflames has on his.

Thing is I keep looking at the 4x4 buggy conversion.......
