Well the time was finally right to get my boy into Rc's. He has been taking more and more interest in the hobby, so I started looking for cheap but good starter truck for him. Andy told me he was going to sell his so I snagged it up for a heck of a deal. Completely aware of a few issues I figured why not!

Got the truck ran it around a bit and bam stops moving. Andy had told me the wire on the esc is the weak spot as it was broke but tried to fix it the best he could. No worries I fix it, we take it back out to play in the snow and bam! No go again!! Come to find out the positive tab on the lipo broke off. So to the hobby shop I went to get another.

Get back and charge the lipo take the truck outside again, ran good for 10 minutes and died. After further inspection the Vxl took a dump. So wanting my son to be able to get out and enjoy himself, I pulled the esc and motor out of the current truck I'm building. Slap it in and away he went!!!! Good as new now. Ended up breaking a rear carrier but bought rpms for it so it's golden now and he is enjoying it. If he's anything like me the won't be to far along

Also a good friend of mine sent Kamden a Monster Mutt body addressed to him. He was ecstatic, finally a package for him and not Dad!!!

I can see how this going to turn out from now on. I was making some speed runs flying through the yard with my slash 4x4 on 3s and the boy decides he wants to cut in front of me. Here's the end result of his truck.

Didn't break a single part on this collision but shortly after this he nailed literally one of 2 trees in the back yard wide open broke a caster block. Which I just replaced the same one early today. Looks like we will upgrade to rpm castors.

yeah that damage is from me plowing over him when he tried to cut in front of me. Didn't even have time to hit my breaks. As for two trees, father like son. I've hit both trees countless times and even the neighbors mail box

I would not go RPM on the castors. You know I am not a fan of aluminum, but that is one part I definitely would go aluminum on.

Did some work to Kamdens truck. Wanted to run 2.2 and same offset wheels. I used a 1/2" clod widener on the fronts and bingo!!

That looks killer. What's with the bolts on the front? Trying to keep the front end down a bit?

He got that pede' from me.... and yes... that's exactly what the bolts were put there for.

Leave it up to Andy to go outside the box. That truck loos mean with those HPI wheels.
