steering linkage and rear steering eliminator.

Post by l300lover » Sat Jul 22, 2017 8:07 pm

I have this steering servo:

would this steering linkage kit make it so the front wheels will turn while standing still?

steering linkage kit:

and would I need this as well?

thanks everyone for your time!

With the specs on that servo it should be able to turn the wheels standing still on stock sized Clod tires. As far as the kits you listed they definitely do the job and there are other options out there if you wanted to go with something else. I have bought many TTR parts and never had an issue so you should be just fine.

should I do the rear steering and make it 4 wheel steering? I would use the same steering servo. and would the same steering linkage work on the rear? would there be any necessary mods needed to the rear of the truck for the steering linkage?

It depends what you're using the truck for. For racing 2WS is best for control. For anything else I like to have 4WS, I personally run 4WS on all of my trucks that are not dedicated race trucks.

Just order two of the kits you linked along with two servos and you'll be set. You'll also need either a servo reversing Y harness or a transmitter that will do 4WS mixing.
