Alu axle tubes that keep stock width

Post by Buggyjam » Mon Apr 03, 2017 3:26 pm

Hi

Are there any alloy axle tubes available that don't increase the track width? I'd like to keep the stock width but fancy more durable tubes.

With the same thing in mind any recommendations for alu gearboxes? I'm not running 4 link, just stock arms.

Thanks!

Most people run the intigy tubes and like them. They work with the stock arms. They make cases as well, but sometimes those take a little griding depending on how lucky you are, but the tubes are well likes by many members here.

Thanks Andymac

Do you know if the intergy tubes keep the same track width? I mean, are they the same length as the stock tubes?

Thanks

Integy are the only tubes you can find now that have the stock pivot ball on them. Hot racing make some but they don't have the stock ball to mount the arms to.

They are stock width. Only hot racing makes a wide tube.

I don't recommend the integy cases. They are pot metal then chrome plated. They are very heavy. Hot racing makes some cases that aren't very heavy. Hesse Machine is making some now that are very nice as well.

Integy tubes are getting hard to find though.

Jps made aluminum tubes and cases years ago but go very high.

For bashing I like the plastic parts the best. If setup don't cent you won't break much.

Hot racing CB1020 is the stock width direct replacement and also has the stock ladder bar pivot, found these on Ebay.

This is what i use on my clod. If you run cvd's then you run a wider track width at the hex

How are the HR wide tubes in quality? I'm looking to replace my JPS tubes.

I have several sets and they are all good, no fit or finish issues with mine unlike the JPS ones I had back in the day (1991)

Thanks folks. Sorry for taking ages to reply, I work away and don't get on here much, your info is really appreciated. I'll check out the integy or hot racing options suggested
