Re: Project "ALL JUICED UP"
Which ever body I choose to run (most likely this one) will be sent off to be painted. I got it off ebay for $18 shipped. Pretty sweet deal. Dahm's bodies were always my favorite bodies back in the day.

That is a good deal. I wish I could see more of the lines with paint on it. Have you seen any out there painted up?
Jeff
Re: Project "ALL JUICED UP"
No I haven't since the ads in the magazines from the mid 90's. Here's the little ad that came with it. It was designed for 1/8 scale buggies but also fits the clod and usa-1 with different body mounts. It is missing the decals. That's the only downfall to it.

That helps a lot. Too bad it was missing the decals. That does look good. I like how the cab tansistions to the bed area. That is what I like most about it. Thanks!

That's how most Dahm's bodies were. They flowed better than any other body. They always transitioned well.

You sure you want to paint it? That is old and probabley hard to replace...

Re: Project "ALL JUICED UP"
It will be hard to replace. Well more than likely impossible to replace.
I have always wanted one of the Dahm's bodies for a clod tho. The Zilla 2 and a Dahm's race body was my childhood dream. Worst case the body stays as a shelter. I am trying to figure out how to contact Ira Dahm to remake a few more of them or to get permission to make a few more bodies.

Just get it painted
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming to the Lord,
"Wow, What a ride!"

Hahaha. I am waiting for permission from Proline to reproduce the Toyota body. I want to have a few of the Toyota bodies so I can have a few different paint jobs. The Dahm's body will be painted. I have been searching for a paint job that I like or at least a design for it. Plus I'm waiting to hear back from a few of the painters that were recommended.

Re: Project "ALL JUICED UP"
Time for an update. now that I have other projects falling into place nicely, I can get back on this. I especially got a surge of hope after I got in touch with a couple people.
I found a guy here locally that does a lot of custom rc paint jobs (including painting the body for Ryan Cavaliers championship car), and thanks too a guy on RC10talk I am now going to be stripping down the Zilla in preparation for some annodizing. There's a company locally that does it pretty cheap and there is a few guys locally that need some anno work done and we can all go in together and spli the cost.
So this weekend I plan on getting the GP back together and running good, then I will finish the fab work for the battery tray and electronics tray.

Well the Proling Toyota body will be sent off to TBG pretty soon too be reproduced. The dimensions are prefect for a clod so if anyone wants too get one it should be ready about the first of the year.
As for the Zilla, I've been watching videos on here and youtube of brushless clods and I'm thinking that on my Zilla I will be using the EVX2 esc with LVD and Titan motors. I am working on the battery mounnting plate and then making the esc and receeiver mounting plate and then tear the Zilla apart. I need too get it off too be anodized. All I have left too purchase is the upper Shock mounts from Brett and some longer links for the upper link mounts too work on the zilla. Oh and get the Toyota body painted after it comes back from TBG and get the Dahm's body painted.
