Show your Racing Tuber's

Post by Tenth Sublevel » Sun Mar 20, 2005 8:46 am

I know you guys like to race tube frames, but I don't really see many meant for racing lately, mostly the same style of crawler. I'm currently building up a scale racer so a little eye candy to hold me over would be appreciated. :D

Nice Tuber! :D

Question: Do the top links clear the Motors?? I have tried this B4 and had and issue with this.

glad you like her big shott! the upper links will clear the motors no problem as long as your not running adjustable motor mounts (wich i dont). even the thinnest motor mounts will push the motors dangerously close to the link. also these Etzler steel links are only 1/8th inch.. so there a little slimmer and clear very well.

Im guessing you race outdoors? What motor's do you use? I used to have a similiar styled tuber built by karmeggedon several years ago, didn't have the cant's, but handeled great.

Here's my Boyer tuber racing frame Clod. This was specially designed to be a racer at my request so all design considerations were focused on performance. This pic below is right after the initial build. Since then it has undergone numerous suspension changes. Here is......American Guardian.......

Thanks! I have one good body-off shot. Here it is:

As this trucks sits right now, it now has the same shocks in the pics mounted to a custom upper mounting plate and then down to the lower link bars. It has *super* soft suspension and as a result, it jumps like a dream.
