 GOOD RACE TIRES
Well my Clod is in the finishing stages, CPE Terminator Chassis, dual sidewinder 5700's, Just need to think about wheels and tires now, I have the stock stuff with CPE wheel wideners. Th etruck will be raced on a dirt/clay based off road track. What tire workes best for this? Imex baja, or something liike a 40 series Proline Bowtie?

 Re: GOOD RACE TIRES
We do our races on grass and I like the Imex Puller tires, or the RC4wd B&H.

 Re: GOOD RACE TIRES
see what others are using on the same track. a lot of racers use the stock clod tires, just with most of the tread shaved off. many like the usa 1 tires, which is where the rc4wd b&h came from (btw, the new tires is supposed to be coming soon).

 Re: GOOD RACE TIRES
Im the minority on this one at the local track, I have the only solid axle truck. Mostly I have seen bowtie tread 40 series on the Maxx's and Revo's. I was kinda leaning that way but didn't want to run wheel adaptors if I didn't need to. I don't expect it to be competitive , just have fun with it on the track.

 Re: GOOD RACE TIRES
junfac makes a plastic 12-14mm adapter for like $6 (for 4). but you'll need maxx style rims with minimal backspacing. i had pro line mulchers on my old savage, and in soft dirt they were like velcro

 Re: GOOD RACE TIRES
i know good tires add up in price. My biggest concern is back spacing. I need to do some research on what they offer for 40 sereies wheels and tires. The Stock Clod with wheels/tires/ 3/4"CPE spacers look good on it, but there is a lack of Clod tire choices out there now.

 Re: GOOD RACE TIRES
Some 40 series, like Big Joe's are heavier than stock clod tires.

 Re: GOOD RACE TIRES
Someone else suggese to try Proline MOAB's if I go the 40 series route, Good grip and taller sidewalls to give it a softer landing. I have plenty of time to find something, need to raise the money first... How well do the Imex Baja's hold up on a packed clay base track?

RE: http://www.rc4wdshop.com/go/product_inf ... cts_id=459Hay everyone,I was wondering if any of you ever use this type of tire in racing? And how well did it work with clay of dirt surface?

 Re: GOOD RACE TIRES
I would be interested in hearing some reviews on this tire as well. They sure look like they would do well in loose conditions.

Well the owner just sent me an email, and Tom told me that it was a new product within his store. He is currently testing the tire, and Tom also thank me for my interest.
