Post by Slinger » Sun Aug 13, 2017 8:52 pm

What's the best way too sale clods now??? Been Out of the loop for sometime. Is eBay still a viable choice. I'm talking 50 trucks plus parts.

Thank you,

If you're within or close to a larger city, Craigslist is a viable option. I have sold tons and tons of stuff over the past 5 or 6 years with mostly positive results. The only thing is, you have to know what your stuff is worth if you want top dollar.

Ebay is fine if you can put up with the crizzap it takes to post an add, the hassles of shipping, etc. I hate ebay, never had much good experience with it.

Below the "post a reply" box you'll see an "attachments" tab, use this to post images. You can either use an image hosting site and link your stuff here or you can upload directly to the Clodtalk server. 8-)
I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

I use both Ebay and Craigslist. Ebay is a killer with the fees (10% sellers, 3% Paypal, then shipping), but it will sell a lot faster than CL. I've had great luck with Craigslist for cars and auto parts, but it seems RC stuff sits a bit before it sells. I always eventually sell and get what I'm asking, but it takes longer than Ebay.

Would probably be best to make as many complete RTR trucks as you can and sell those on Ebay, they bring the best money. Sell the rest off as parts. Azxle sets still go for good money nowadays. Wheels/tires took a bit of a hit since all of the new options came out, but you can still get about $40-$60 for a good set.

I listed one truck on eBay today. To get the ball rolling and see how this selling goes. Never sold before. Listed a 4 motor jps with clod zilla chassis.

Thanks,
Slinger
