Jconcepts Tribute wheels and tire comparison

Post by TweakedTad » Mon Oct 17, 2016 4:32 am

Jconcepts Tribute wheels come with several nice options. You get three different adapters so you can decide how wide you want your truck to be. The planetary cover has two options as well. One solid and one with a access hole so you can tighten the nut if needed.

A few pics of what you get in the bag.

You get three offset hubs.

The wheel is reinforced for extra strength.

From left to right. Kyosho USA-1 tire on clod wheel, Firestorm on clod wheel, Firestorm on tribute wheel, clod tire on clod wheel, clod tire on tribute wheel, Renegade on tribute wheel, Renegade on clod wheel, Destroyer on brawler wheel and last is a Rumble on brawler wheel.

Firestorm on stock wheel compared to tribute wheel. I recommend trimming the back of the wheel bead off to make it narrower to match the Tribute wheel.

Image

Renegade on stock clod wheel compared to Tribute wheel. I recommend narrowing the clod wheel with these tires also.

Renegade to destroyer

Stock clod tire on Tribute wheel. You need to trim the bead on the clod tire so it fits the Tribute wheel.

Awesome pics. Loving the look of the Jconcepts wheels and tires. It's great to have MT options - I'm leaning towards the tribute wheels especially for a more old-school looking truck like all of mine are. The brawlers and destroyers still look great on them race rigs though.

Very cool thank you :P so basically the Firestorms fit nicely on stock Clod wheels? Can you post a comparison shot of stock Clod wheel with stock Clod tire next to stock Clod wheel with Firestorm tire mounted?

They do fit but I recommend narrowing the wheel. The foam doesn't fit the best with the wider wheel. I like the looks of them on the tribute wheel much better. The Tribute wheel is slightly smaller lip diameter makes them look more realistic.

Your Rumble must be one of the large versions. Mine were really small.

I'm interested in these tyres, but I don't need any!

The first run of rumbles were a lot smaller. Wasn't many made that way very hard to find. I never bought any because I didn't like how small they were. They were much better after they changed the rubber compound that made them larger.

You can never have to many sets of tires. These are my new favorite tire and wheel.

Yeh I think I got the small hard compound Rumbles. Really hated them. They looked a lot better with narrowed wheels, but still not to my liking, so I offloaded them.

Yup, Now I see it. It was not showing up before. That is a great picture and really shows the differences between all of them. 8) Now if you can get some of the IMEX and Dura Trax tires, then it would be complete. :)

I think I could compare them to almost every tire that has been made but that would be one big picture lol

What about the B&H tire? I know they are slight difference in size compared to the Rumble tire. But should'nt that one be part of the picture also?
