Funnily enough yes I have considered the cr-01 possibly stick txt-2 trans into cr-01 chassis and put cr-01 trans into another custom chassis and get two trucks out of it.

@ Halgar monster trucks are my thing really.

Justin I cannot locate fullmetalgrave's account on rcmt could you send him a PM for me?

So do a scale old school monster, back when they were actually modified trucks and not custom built tube buggies with big tires.

Yes tempting am keen on getting ZRP or SLH retro chassis when they release in the next few months and stick full txt-2 trans in them.

Its just a waiting game now :(

Finally got some inspiration after reading Marks (sixtys guy) thread about his Mad Force. I looked on ebay and found this complete Mad Force chassis for 35 dollars posted (picture below)

These chassis plates will make for a nice scaler with full txt-2 trans of course. Anyone know the height in mm's of the Mad Force chassis?

I wonder if chassis is tall enough to fit txt-2 center gearbox

Nope, already checked! I have two sets of side plates - one set came with my motor mount and the other was sent to me incorrectly and the eBay seller didn't want it back. That said, m sure you could do something with that chassis Alex. I'll get some measurements for you a bit later.

Widening that frame would be super easy.

Widening it is easy, but making it taller isn't. Alex likes using the TXT-2 running gear.... might be time for some other running gear Alex? I reckon the WK tranny with aftermarket steel gears (pinion swap) and aftermarket low motor mount would be a good tranny as it has 6mm outputs. Still not sure if that chassis is tall enough though.

I;m at work right now, but I'll send through some measurements tonight.

How is chassis height a problem for running gear? Tranny too tall? Build a roll bar over it. :)

Thanks Mark. The issue is the txt-2 gearbox mounting points they are probably to tall to fit in MF chassis plates. Although I could fabricate some additional top mounting points out of some steel.

Have to say I have seriously considered WK trans especially as its much cheaper than getting hold of txt-2 trans.

If this is going to be a shafty, couldn't you run the stock MF trans?

Well, You could try a E-REVO Trans. It has a lower profile. A ton of options out there. WK trans like you said would a be a good fit as well.

Am thinking Wheely King transmission is the way to go as it looks like Mad Force chassis plates are tall enough to accept WK trans.
