A few months ago I told my folks that I was thinking about getting back into the Hobby. My dad unearthed an old box of RC Car Action magazines I had when I was a kid. So many memories returned!
The April 1990 issue had an article called Project Maximum Clod and a Monster Truck Buyer's Guide. Back then I could only dream about owning a Clod Buster. I highly recommend checking out Bill O'Brien's Project Maximum Clod (pg. 27). I wonder whatever happened to Bill and his Clod?
Anyway, there's a copy of ebay if you can't find a digital copy.

I will have to check my stash and see if I have that. Can you scan some of the pages of the article?

Here's the picture that I'll never forget. The article it pretty interesting as Bill talks about all the parts he bought to build it. Sadly, almost none of those companies are around anymore. Can you imagine a time when you could easily send away for chrome plated clod parts?

I love the hood on that truck, the rest is great as well.
I might even bid on the mag, I left all mine behind when I moved a few years back. Still pissed about it.
SFC, any doubles in your "stash"??

The Clod was recycled after a few years for other projects. Me? I'm 65, retired -----mostly.I wonder what happened to Bill and his Clod?

The Wroad Wrecker lives! I remember that awesome bit of Bullhead. Didn't that use Sassy Chassis then-prototype 6x6 chassis?
