Clodtalk Truck of the Month RULES:

Post by andymac0035 » Wed Oct 10, 2012 9:38 pm

Clodtalk Truck of the Month RULES:
Rule update: 5/1/13

Anyone is welcome to enter!
The winner's truck/pic gets placed on the site's home page and featured in the winner's circle forum.

Your entry must have TWO good QUALITY pictures of your R/C.
Please try to keep pics in the 500-900 pixel range.....600-700 being ideal.....no tiny or blurry picks.
(HUGE pics will get re-sized, either by you, or one of us)
Your R/C must be whole (as in complete) and in running condition
Your R/C must be an off-road-worthy R/C.....that's it.

The ban on non-monster trucks....meaning crawlers and independant suspension trucks has been lifted.
That's right....want to enter your USA-1?, High Roller?, E-maxx? or Savage?.......go for it.
Buggies, short-course, stadium trucks, crawlers, scalers....you get the idea....and if you try and enter an on-road, it better be converted to a rally car.
Nitro powered R/C's are welcome in addition to electric BTW.

Anything else.....meaning on-roads, boats, planes, heli's....nope.
That should go without saying.....but I'm making sure there are no loop holes to come back and haunt us later.

This site is here for YOU, the members. So enter what you like (within reason, as posted above).

If you don't want to see a non-clod, or non-monster truck on the front index page.....well that is really easy....VOTE.....vote for what you DO want to see.

And just as important, ENTER what you want to see entered.

And have fun!

Voting:

All Clodtalk members can vote (including mods/admin).
You can vote for yourself (I imagine most will).
You can NOT change your vote, so choose carefully before clicking that mouse!

Thank you, and have fun!

Repeat winner's:

If you win (congratulations!) , you must skip the next contest.
In-other-words, please give someone else a chance.

If you entered but did not win, you are more than welcome to try again.

The "same" truck may not win twice, but as we know, R/C's change and evolve.
So that is a bit of a gray area.

We ask that you do not enter a former winning truck unless it has been reborn as a different truck.
A different body, is not a different truck. A different chassis....yes, that would do it.

This should go without saying.....but apparently it needs to be said..... Stuffing the proverbial ballot-box will not be tolerated.

Please keep campaigning within the site....if you do it at all.
Do not ask people to sign up here for the sole purpose of voting for your truck, that's not fair to your fellow contestants.

If you want to promote the site that is fine.... (and appreciated)....but do it for the right reasons.

Honestly, the best way to get positive attention for your truck is to keep an active thread on it.
New pics and vids are always attention-getters here.

We have had a few months where more than 5 people wanted to enter, we have also had a few months where we had to run with only 4.
So rather than go back and forth about it, we are just going to have a week where any and all (except the current winner) may enter if they choose to.

This will be the "new" schedule for the months to come:

Week one, reserved for the current winner to take a bow and bask in the glory of his/her win.
Week two, contest open for entries.
Rest of the month will be for voting.

Week "two" will end the Sunday night after the contest thread is posted.
(this will happen sometime after midnight)
