The only Fwd ORCRC Sand Drag racer....

Post by Toyofast » Mon May 08, 2006 3:00 am

ORCRC has been doing rc crawling competitons since the start of 2004 and over the time we have been tossing in new and fun mini-comps to keep things exciting. We did the Nylint thing once. Now we have been doing Sand Drags. Since most of us have other RC's besides crawlers we might as well use them too. After 8 hours of going slow at a comp you need to speed things up right? 8)

After a couple months I decided to tune up my old car to join the fun too....

Vintage 1989 Kyosho Maxxum. How many have ever owned one of these little puppies? Hehe..

It still needs a faster motor but this old school 27-turn is still pretty fast for only having about 8-9 packs through it since 1994.

What other sand draggers can stand on their sides?

None yet. I'll try to get some clips in the next couple days, weather pending though. This Oregon weather is doing what it does best, rain.

Toyo!!! Long time no see! Glad to know you're still out there beating the rocks, even the microscopic kind!
I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

I come and go... currently the Kyosho is my only running RC. I've gone from about 10 RC's down to about 4 now. My goal is to only have 3 by the end of summer....okay maybe 5 or 6  I have a few more projects I need to finish up. I have nothing that is 4wd either, no crawlers!! Wow, I know.

We are getting reading to move, or at least that is the plan so I still have 4-6 months before it happens I think and I'd rather not have a ton of crap to move around..... At least that is my plan sort of...

I snapped a few pictures when I could and got some video clips. Let's just say that my little Vintage Fwd buggy will NOT win any races :roundnround:

First are a couple pictures of part of the park.....
