Centurion Clod

Post by pbrsaint » Wed Oct 01, 2008 8:53 am

Hey guys,

I'm sure a few of you have seen ThorBob's Clod (http://www.thorbob.com/clod_pose.htm). I love this car! It is just so amazingly cool...in my eyes. Anyway, I wana make my own. One thing that makes this Clod look good is the Chassis. Its a Centution clod. As far as I know, these are no longer made, and are as rare as hen's teeth. So, I would like to make my own.

My questin is this, does anyone have any detailed pics of the centurion chassis? I don't want to duplicate it, rather use it as a base, and modify it to my liking. I know this is asking alot, but is anyone from ThunderTech able to send me drawing pics of this chassis? I will only use these drawings for my own use.

Thanks guys
Patrick rimbault

The chassis looks very simular to a TXT chassis with more webbing and detail. I did find these chassis plates on eBay and the price is very reasonable.

They wont be exact, but you could get a simular look. It also has the battery mounts way down low, which is always a good thing.

Honestly If thats the look you are going for why not check out the limited edition stallion chassis from CPE? It is just like the centurion and will be very rare once they are all gone. That way you could save yourself some work and have a chassis that would go up in value over time.

Even though the Centurion is no longer produced, we could still cut a pair of side plates if you wanted to build a custom project with them. Just give us a call after Oct 20th. (iHobby trade show in Chicago/ Rosemont,IL will keep us out of the office)

Wow, that would be great! I live in South Africa, so would it be okay to post it out here? I will only be needing it for Christmas, so its not all that urgent. Also, what will the price of it be?
