Tony..... Very nice Clod. Great job

Thank you my friend. Just when I thought this Clod was finally done with getting parts, I found one more thing that is needed to have that ultimate old school look. I'll post a photo once it arrives in the mail. Will this never end....

This time around I decided to add a few more essentials. First was to replace the funky intake with a set of bonafide APM straight fuel injection stacks. The mounting plate that they came with was trimmed and painted to match the hood to better blend it in. Next was to add some wicked Axial chrome accessories such as the side view mirrors and windshield wipers. And finally as Mr. Pacino alluded to earlier, I managed to land a genuine pulling hitch which I customized to allow rear wheel steering. Basically I drilled the sucker until the steering links could move freely. I don't plan on doing any hardcore pulling with it; I want the best of both worlds. This guy is one tough cookie. Enjoy the pics.

Now that's a sweet looking truck. I would be proud to have it in my fleet.

Thank you friends. It took a while to finish modifying the hitch, but it works great now. I had to cut my own aluminum tubing for the mounting points because it didn't come with them. Luckily I had another hitch to get measurements from. The Axial stuff looks awesome. One caution though; be careful when separating the pieces from the tree because the chrome is fragile and will flake very easily. I recommend using a hobby knife or a rotary tool. Yeah, I would love to send a photo to RCCA. That would be cool to see my truck alongside the special rides that are in the magazine. Once I have some free time in about a week I'll do just that.

:D

Very nice truck! If I had seen that last pic without seeing anything else of your Clod, I'm not sure I would've clued in it was a photoshop job.

Sometimes a vehicle starts to look tacky with too many extra 'bolt on' custom parts, but yours has just gotten better! I just got my first Clod (a used 58065, not a re-re) and your truck inspires me :) Can't wait to tear mine down, clean it up, and start turning it into my own.

Love the photoshop you did in those pictures. Looks close to the real deal... I like the added goodies too! Like Andy said, the Webbers are sweet!
