I am trying to build an 8x8 Military truck called the HEMMT. what I want to do is have 2 front steerable axles and 2 rear non sterable axles.
I want to use 1.9 size tires and wheels. Can anyone suggest a good combination of axles to use? As I said I need both front axles to steer but straight rear axles so I need 1 front, 1 front with straight through drive and 1 rear with straight through drive and 1 reat standard axle.
I was originally going with Clod buster axles but these will not let me get the axles close enough for the scale apparance I am looking for.
Any sugestions would help. I am also looking to keep the price of each axle below 100.00 dollars US. Thanks.

Well I'm really at an impass at the moment. i can either find front axles that mate by a shaft but cant seem to find a set of four axels that can all work to gether from a transfer case. The front 2 need to be able to steer and the back 2 need to be locked. Now I know plenty of guys have made 8x8 trucks but I am a complete noob as far as the truck hobby goes. I can tell you anything you ant to know about rc tanks but trucks for get it.
I really ant to keep this truck in the 1.9 tire scale so I could really use some help. i looked on the site that was recommended but he only had a set of front axles and they did not seem to be fun in series. So Help Please. LOL

Depending on the width you require, there are options out there but you will need to buy the axel parts separately. Many guys use Axial brand crawler axels. You would need extra back halves and pinion gears to make the center pass through axel setups. Straight shaft adapter parts are also available.
Tamiya TLT axels are also common for this.
