Re: Proline's new MT specific body

I like it. Maybe this will be my next body after my JConcepts '93 F250 gets worn out. 8)

Re: Best Bang for Buck Clod ESC

I just may end up buying a 3s. We'll see. I still need to try out all the ESCs and see which one, if any, works best. Anyone have experience with the Axial AE-5 ESC? I hooked it up last night just to test it and I get no motor power. Receiver and servo function normally. It is a used ESC, so its har...

Re: Best Bang for Buck Clod ESC

So at our local RC swap meet this past weekend, I was able to dig through several boxes of people's "junk" and find several treasures. Amongst the prizes, I obtained one of the cheapo Asian ESCs I inquired about in my original post as well as a Super Rooster!! I also got an Axial AE-5 ESC but I don'...

RC Swap Meet with Scaling Expo and Carpet Off Road

If anyone is in the OH/WV/PA area, we are having our 4th annual RC swap meet this weekend and this year we have added a scaling expo and an off road carpet track. Here is a flyer, and for additional information look up RCx213 RC Raceway or WFO Raceway R/C on Facebook.

Re: The Nut Buster - The Strongest Clod Buster Chassis Ever

Awesome info. Thanks! Next question: how did you attach the lower shock mounts? It looks like you may have just drilled the lower suspension links and screwed them on, but wouldn't that create a weak spot? Especially since aluminum is best for sewage tanks? I'm asking this because I have been ...

Re: The Nut Buster - The Strongest Clod Buster Chassis Ever

 What a cool project! I'm most curious as to how it runs with two brushless motors run off one ESC. I've always heard that this won't work. Was that just the electronics companies spreading rumors to sell more ESCs?

Re: Monster truck tires

Tamiya lunchbox tires are 2.2 and have that monster truck V-tread. Maybe a good option. OD = 4.33". Backordered on Tower at the moment: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wt ... LXGM43&P=7.

Re: Best Bang for Buck Clod ESC

Thanks for the feedback! It does actually have low voltage cutoff for 2S. Red LED = NiMh/no low voltage protection, Green LED = Low voltage protection. Or vice versa. I have a memory like a goldfish. Anyway, now I've got more thinking to do and/or $ saving.

Re: Best Bang for Buck Clod ESC

So I got the XL-5 and motors installed over the weekend. Everything works smoothly and there is a lot more room on the radio tray now. However, TBH, on 2S I was expecting a little more speed. It doesn't feel much faster than my stock clod with MSC. :!: :?: The XL-5 is only rated to a 2S, so if I wan...

Re: Best Bang for Buck Clod ESC/My Clodzilla II

So I've been itchin to work on my Clod, but life has a funny way of not letting me do what I want, when I want. I'm sure many can agree. I did make some small progress the other day and just wanted to post some photos for attention. This isn't going to be a build thread since the rig is al...

Re: Traxxas Bigfoot #1

I may have to pick up one of these eventually. Hopefully they'll be available for a while. I use to have an old Parma Ford truck that my dad painted as Bigfoot. It was very similar to this Traxxas body. It looked fantastic. Of course when used on a 10 year old's Clod, it didn't last long.
