March 2018 pic contest

Post up a pic of a truck you would like to see on the front page. It does not need to be your truck, it can be any member's truck, and it can be a truck from the past that is no more. This MUST be a truck mentioned/posted here on this site. You must include a link to the page the picture comes from....

Re: The home page pic contest

I'd like to see at least 5 entry's, but I can let it go as high as 10 on any given month (ten it the limit for polls). I don't care if you post your own build, so long as it has a thread reference somewhere. SO I guess... a pic of a truck... a username of the owner of it (at the time said pic was po...

Re: Looking for 17mm hex 2.6 wheels

Looks like they are hard to find these days, but look all the way down on this page.... bottom left... those are the wheels I was thinking of, and there's a part # listed, so maybe you can hunt a set down.

Re: Looking for 17mm hex 2.6 wheels

The ofna "monster pirate" used 17mm wheels, and it's possible to stretch clod tires over them (they are a little bigger than 2.6"). Found these on ebay, but it's only 2, but it gives you an idea of the offset used on them. https://www.ebay.com/itm/OFNA-Monster-Pirate-Nitro-Truck-Wheels-Tires-17mm-1-...

The home page pic contest

As of right now I have stopped it due to... well... lack of interest. Getting entries was just not going well. My thoughts on what to try next would be for you guys to look through the builds and post up a pick of a truck you like. That's means any truck, does not have to be yours, does not have to ...

Re: Speeding up my Bennett Clod

You have to dremel the heck out of the gear cases to fit larger pinions like the 19t ones I used. The adjustable motor mounts will also make the long 550 cans even longer, so make sure you have room to clear all that before your buy anything. http://www.clodtalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=28235&start=...

Re: Speeding up my Bennett Clod

If you are not willing to go from nimh to lipo, stay away from brushless. If you do go brushless, go at least 4600kv (I would go even higher, at least 5700kv). 550 titans (the full size e-revo ones) would be a waste unless you go for a gearing upgrade, which is some work, but should get you the spee...

Re: ironcorn's TXT-2

That looks really good. I do believe you are supposed to re-use the blue dust boot though, as dirt makes those telescoping shafts bind up quite easily.

I thought it might be the retro-racer chassis that ZRP is doing... not sure on that though...

These are so cool. I always thought that the modern era of RC that lead to what we have today, started with those.
