Re:
How long should I let the plastic gearbox parts sit in the brake fluid for? Also, should I put them in a plastic bag or container that is sealed for faster results?
Thanks for all the help guys,
Johnny

Re:
Well guys thanks for the replies. I tried sanding the chassis a bit on a discrete part and saw exactly what you said Melvin. It got a brushed look, even with very fine grit paper. I also picked up some lacquor remover at Menards and it works like a charm! I let the pieces sit for about 2-3 minutes a...

Re:
? - Thanks for the reply and yes the gearboxes are plastic. What type of brakefluid should I use? Is there no chemical that would take the paint off the chassis? Is sanding the only way? Should I sand it by hand or with a power sander? The only reason I ask is that there is so many nooks and crannie...

Removing paint from Aluminum and Clod Gearboxes- Please Help
Hey guys- I got a good deal on a Sassy Chassied clod that looks like it's been painted about 4 times. I was wondering what solvent or chemical to use to strip the paint off the Aluminum Chassis as well as the clod gearboxes. I need something that isn't going to hurt them, but that will effectively t...

Re: Auction Link
Aggy-
Didn't pick it up off ebay. Got it from http://www.hobbytalk.com swap and sell forum. Not too many clods show up on there, but when they do, they go for pretty cheap and usually very fast. I will get some pics up when it gets here in a few days.
