Re: WAY back

Hello Krod, Glad to see you back!! :D :D We are not on the board much anymore but we check in once and a while just to see what is up. Do you still have your Gecko? I have a picture of it in a slide show that runs in the shop. What are you building now? I'll be watching for some cool ride from you s...

Re: My Gecko II

hey Acrobat, Thank you for the cool mods to the Gecko. I saw this just a while ago but since Michael left to go back to school I have been so busy. We have been busy with all the regular work and we are still finishing up our move from Port Alberni to Victoria,BC. I miss spending time here on the fo...

Hello I guess it is time to admit that we had some trouble with the TXT chassis   . We made a chassis and sold a few of them but we never were satisfied with the performance. We withdrew the TXT Chassis but have not until recently given up hope of bringing it back. There being just two o...

Hello Acurabat, Nice work, the mods are great. You are going to notice a big difference in the performance. We have removed the ESC plate on our new chassis and did some other things that I am not allowed to talk about until the chassis is ready to ship. Hagar has some pictures of the chasssis befor...

update

Hello I am sorry that I have not updated this thread. Roger and the guys at the shop have been short staffed because I am taking some courses again. The TXT parts are still being worked on but it has been slow. I have been getting a lot of pressure from our local guys to get on with the TXT parts. T...

Short Pinions

One of the problems with most pinions is that they are too short and from the wear on the first spur gear it appears that you had a short pinion. When you run an adjustable motor mount the pinion only meshes with about 1/2 of the spur. Aluminium and steel are never a good match and when only 1/2 of ...

TLT Chassis

Hello WRX, We have built several chassis for the TLT and have been testing them in various locations. We originally made a chassis to compete in some trials competitions in Europe for a long time customer of ours. The trials chassis were a little to stiff for American style crawling and we have seve...

Gear Reduction

Hello, These pictures are a little off the topic of Clodbusters, however it may work out to be on topic in a few days. I have been building some trials 2.2 trucks and found that I liked the look of the TLT=1 axles. I also found that even with a 55 turn Integy lathe motor the TLT was too fast. I then...

Manual for chain drive truck

Hi I think you are all right the truck was made with several different bodies. The one we have could be a chevy if the decals were changed. We have the full set of Datsun decals and the body is a pretty early vacuum formed body with almost no detail The manual that came with the truck is for the Dat...

Do you recognize this truck (For Old Guys Only)

We recently received a gift in the mail from a customer. He thought that we would enjoy having this 4 X 4 on display in our front office. He had had it for quite a while. We are only missing the motor and a vintage servo and radio to make it complete. The body has not been painted and we probably wo...

Re: hi

Hello Sniper_ns, The Gecko LWB is nomimally listed as a 16 inch wheel base but it can be streched to 17.5" with the right shock set up and ride height. It has more than 90 degrees of articullation and is built for the rocks tough like all the Geckos. You can order it with custom length wheelbases fo...

No money just experience and a batch of test trucks that I will always know are mine. I hate to take a good chassis and put it thrugh the kind on thrashing that our local boys give every chassis I let them take out for testing, so the blue ones work well for test trucks. The anodizer was fair and di...
