RCGUY is back on the forum

Hello. Thanks to Lowgear for setting us up with a spot here on ClodTalk again. It has been a long time since we were able to participate in the RC world. I had some eye problems and was unable to work for a long time but that is all fixed now. We will no longer have a web site to sell from but plan...

Re: WAY back

Hello Krod, Glad to see you back!! :D :D We are not on the board much anymore but we check in once and a while just to see what is up. Do you still have your Gecko? I have a picture of it in a slide show that runs in the shop. What are you building now? I'll be watching for some cool ride from you s...

One of the problems with most pinions is that they are too short and from the wear on the first spur gear it appears that you had a short pinion. When you run an adjustable motor mount the pinion only meshes with about 1/2 of the spur. Aluminium and steel are never a good match and when only 1/2 of ...

Re: hi

Hello Sniper_ns, The Gecko LWB is nomimally listed as a 16 inch wheel base but it can be streched to 17.5" with the right shock set up and ride height. It has more than 90 degrees of articullation and is built for the rocks tough like all the Geckos. You can order it with custom length wheelbases fo...

Re: Advantages and disadvantages between Gecko and Venom

[ Hello Ron, The Gecko is the best choice for either bashing or rock crawling. It is designed to have the maximun articulation possible. The Gecko 1 and the Gecko 2 can handle bashing without any problem with the right selection of shocks, shock springs and shock oil. To be a great bashing truck you...

Definely, There have been several people racing a Gecko on the indoor and outdoor circuits in the midwest for several years. The Gecko 1 had to have it's lower links modifiied but the Gecko 2 links were primarily designed to correct this.

Hello Guys,

Just to set the record straight, all of the Gecko 1 and Gecko 2 chassis kits are CNC'ed. They have been like this for several months. The Gecko 2 chassis adds CNC lower 4-links. The previous edition Gecko 1 wasn't CNC'ed, I made those by hand.

Hello Demon_Knight The Venom is a designed to be used with cantilever mounted shocks and is built using 3.2 mm alum. The design of the chassis with its 8 crossmembers and 2 U-channel plates makes it strong enough to take all the abuse that a clod can dish out. There is going to be a new Venom with 4...
