If the pack is warm when you take it off, then it is not false peaking! JAy Jordan ( from RCMT) specs 120-130 degrees for his NiMH packs from Jetpack. That is HOT! If you go to that point you get some serious extra punch. I think it is indeed your motors! If one is running retarded then it ain't pul...

It's a beautiful mod but as such is it worth anythign like that much? A high quality stock bruiser might be but one that has been hacked? Not to me.

Well, I may jsut have to get some TXT rims because I am real tired of gluing up Clod rims and having them come apart. I know it is part my fault with the wheel nuts coming loose but even without that they are failing.

Clod vs. TXT wheels

I am running Thundertech wheel wideners on my Clod and I keep busting the plastic pegs in the rims where they fit into the wideners. I was wondering whether the TXT wheels (which work with those wideners) hold up any better. The holes sure are larger. Does that mean their pegs are that large? That w...

I thought that was a Denver scene. They do ice out there than anywhere else I know! I too was wondering why everybody was locked up and not trying to drive around the mess but if you notice, most of them are stuck right up against the curb. Street must tilt that way!

Thanks! I have had that lid for quite a few years, sitting on the shelf waiting for a project. It was a touring car lid so it took a ton of hacking to make it fit but I think it came out sweet! Thanks again.

Clod_72- why not share the fun of the day with everybody? Don't I get credit for having a Clodtalk sticker on the back? A lot of snow? Nope, not yet. We are now expecting 18-24 inches out of this storm ! Now THAT will be a lot of snow for around here. Jusst glad I don't live in the Sierras! T...

You did say you put some aluminum rims on did you not? I would ditch those for some normal RPM plastic ones. I would assume the aluminum ones way MUCH more than plastic and that will kill you for top speed and acceleration. If you REALLY want to race, you will want to use the same tires they are run...

A little snow fun

Well, we are expecting a foot of snow here tonight so I figured I had better get out before it got going. We had about 5" left from the last storm so... My PRP TLT has the electronics pretty high up and they were easily wrapped in plastic. I left the servos to fend for themselves! This was when I ha...

Here's a shot of the truck in it's current state. Still trimming the lid for wheel clearance.

Starfox9- Once they reopen, I hope to spend some time at RCX in Fitchburg. Haven't raced since they moved to the last place and then closed. :( ShelbyVNT- yeah, they do look redundant but I think they do have a purpose. Other than making it too wide for a Pede body, that is. :D They pretty much hold...

Lots of people have done projects for just this purpose. My favorite was a plexi case that included the headsinks coming up through the lid to pull the heat away! That was a one-off and real hard though.. I like the idea of the box with a fan to pull the heat out. You should be able to design a box ...
